Most of the plants we sell are propagated at the nursery. We are always searching for new varieties that we feel have ornamental and environmental appeal. We are constantly looking for new and different varieties as well as old varieties that have not been used recently. We have many sources of plant material including the Arnold Arboretum, other nurseries, and private collections. We grow a wide variety of plants for difficult environments such as the seashore and wetlands. We believe in a flexible approach to the market place and experiment, not only with new varieties, but also with new methods of packaging and presentation.
We ship from Maine to New Jersey on our trucks every week during the busy season and through the mails anywhere, anytime. Our trucks run a regular schedule to specific areas each week so that our customers can depend on us for being at their locations on a regular basis.
Our customers cover a wide spectrum including garden centers, landscape contractors, landscape architects, re-wholesale nurseries, municipalities and florists. The diversity of our customer base is as important to us as the diversity of our plant material, and we learn much from our customers. The input from our customers is a large part of what determines the plants we grow and how we grow them and we look forward to your imput.
